Aswan

By Alan Kimber on 14/11/2012

We finally arrived in Aswan after two weeks cycling from Cairo. Nine of those days were spent spinning the wheels and we covered 950km. Our route was mostly on busy roads with good running surface, apart from today, when we hit gravel. Daniel McDermott found another puncture today on the rough roads and we took a lift over that section in the back of an open pick up on the west side of the river, through desert landscape. Fatter tyres required!

That’s two of the big four African rivers ticked off!
