Drive like an Egyptian

Egypt is in the global premier league for crazy driving. Travelling back from Abu Simbel today, we were ‘tail-gating’ various vehicles within a couple of metres at 130kph. The speed limit is meant to be 90kph maximum for a car. Even the truck load of Camels in front were travelling at 100kph.

Cairo is Africa’s most populous city with a real traffic problem and regular log jams of vehicles.

Check out the Donkey towing a cart which just appeared on the right side of this traffic chaos!

Unstable load? This jam was stationery, even the pedestrians were on the phone in the middle of the road.
