Great conditions
Recently we have had some great conditions, but today (20th) the weather is deteriorating. However, more snow on the tops is forecast, so the climbing should not suffer too much. In fact, apart from an obvious HIGH hazard rating for avalanche there is plenty of scope for some excitement. Be very wary of gullies and open slopes just now and route choice is of great importance to avoid being in line with an avalanche or being the cause of one. These photos were kindly supplied by William Bourne of Bristol University Exploration Society who are staying in our accommodation just now. We have beds available in the coming weeks if anyone is interested.
